Why a website about food and technology?

Ok, this is probably going to be more about tech than food. But why the comparison? Well, because both lead to a better quality of life when done properly. People I care about don't all live nearby. The best times are when we are able to get together for "family" activities. But, technology bridges the gap when we can't. The same goes for work, banking, learning, socializing, puchasing stuff and a whole slew of related activities. But doing these activities in safety and avoiding issues, some niggling and others serious, can be a recurring stressor. The saying "you are what you eat" should have a digital equivalent. Maybe something like: "Improve your technological inner self, and improve your peace of mind".

You may find tips or devices or applications that can help you get through your day and save you time or keep you "safely connected" to your children, your parents, schools ,banks, work, etc. Knowing what is safe and easy to use reduces stress. Hopefully this site will give you stress-buster ideas that you can read about when you have the time. I will try and mix and match small quick tips with longer reads so that whether you have 5 minutes or perhaps up to 30, you will have something that fits your availability.

So, food and good tech habits are similarly effective and necessary to improve your quality of life. I Use the image of the key to remind myself that security has always been something to keep in mind. Mom and Grandma didn't put food on your plate that wasn't good for you. I don't cook as well as Mom or Grandma, but I do like tech that serves me well and habits that keep me safe. Hopefully some of the suggestions here will do the same for you.
